Slime

A few months ago, I changed the look of the blog and added a poker quote in the header. The quote was by poker legend Amarillo Slim. While chatting with Felicia yesterday, I found out his true name should be Amarillo Slime. Back in 2003, he pled guilty to acts of indecency with his 12 yr old grandaughter. The man is a child molester. I’m so disgusted, I had no idea.
I feel horrible that I used the words of an admitted sicko on my blog, but I just didn’t know. There is a new quote up now by Lou Krieger, the Slime’s words have been removed. I wish someone had pointed out this fact to me sooner!

After talking with Poker Enthusiast about MTT stats for this month, I looked myself up on BigStack. I’m not linking them, because they suck. They had my numbers all wrong. He suggested Official Poker Rankings, so I checked them out and I like that site much better. I recommend it over BigStack for sure.

My oldest son is taking his entrance physical for the Marines today. Ugh, I have been unable to change his mind. We met with the recruiter Saturday and I was fine until I asked about their levels of training before they were sent to Iraq. Then I lost it and had to go cry in the bathroom for 10 minutes. Nice.
The other one has quit the basketball team. I know, I was just bragging on him for not being a quitter. I still haven’t gotten the whole story on that. I may question the coach about it. Anyway, he has a golf tournament at Tunica National this weekend, I’d like to sneak over to a poker room while he’s playing, but that probably won’t happen.
