The space heater worked REALLY well today. It made my life so much more manageable today at work. I wasn’t nearly as miserable as yesterday, so I’m glad I bought it!
My interview sadly is postponed. Actually, it’s a good thing because the life of a poker player is that they stay up all night playing and they sleep all day. The life of Carmen, is that she works all day and goes to bed around 10 or 11 at the latest every night. So, it’s a little difficult to pin down a pro, when I’m in my pajamas at 10 p.m. However, I will definitely harass him this weekend and show up at whatever casino he’s at so that I can get the interview. He was dead asleep when I called him at 9 p.m. tonight, so I wasn’t about to drag him out of bed when he still needed his beauty rest. In fact, I’m wondering if he’ll even remember the conversation we had tonight. Oh well!
I’m so happy that tomorrow is Friday!!!! Yay!
I bought these boots last weekend at Macy’s and I am so in love with them - here’s a picture…
I love love love them. I’ve worn them like three times this week. So, I think I’m going back to Macy’s this weekend and buying them in these other two colors…
Here’s the trick to wearing these boots ladies…
Normally, I’m not a fan of skinny jeans. I think NOBODY should ever wear skinny jeans, I think they are unflattering on even the hottest Victoria Secret models, they are just not an attractive style of jeans. However, I was trying to figure out what I could wear these boots with, because most of my jeans are boot cut, which means they are a little wider at the bottom, so they would not fit well inside these boots. It finally occured to me, that skinny jeans would work because the bottom (the ugly skinny tapered part around the ankles) would be covered by the boots, and it wouldn’t be all bulky. So, I finally caved in and bought two pairs of skinny jeans from Express (because they carry petite sizes), therefor I didn’t have to have them taken up and they look FANTASTIC with the boots.
Ahhhhhh, the joys of shopping and creating new outfits. There’s not much better, except maybe pocket aces that actually hold up!!
