The Bloggers Hit the MGM!

Well, WPBT Winter 2007 was all it was cracked up to be and MORE. So many bloggers, so much poker, so much fun. Where in the hell do I begin?
I don’t know what those crazy kids did Thursday night because I wasn’t around. I think they went to the IP and, well, last year at this time I was actually booted from the IP because they thought I was a hooker. Yes, seriously, I was kicked out of the IP - you know it’s bad when a hell hole like the IP kicks you out. Remember that rooster and waffles. I know you guys do. Anyway, I’m sure they had a blast on Thursday at the Geisha Bar. Get it while you can because I don’t know how much longer that part of the strip will be around.
Friday night I headed over to the MGM, headed right to the poker room and the first table I saw had some familiar blogger faces like Poker Peaker, Special K, Rooster, Bacon Mary, Yestbay and I finally got to meet Buddy Dank and Jordan! Good times!!!!!! I’ve been wanting to meet both of these guys for a long time and it was cool to finally hang out with them!

I saw Don head into the room with a gaggle of guys and JJOK came up and introduced himself - yay! JJOK! Finally!!!!!!!! I didn’t think JJ would ever make it out here to Vegas, but he did and here he is playing with Don…
He’s so adorable!!!!!!!!! We had some quality time together Saturday afternoon after busting out of the tournament when I taught him how to play video keno. I’m sure that’s one lessone he could have done without!
My inner gambling addict was itching to play, so I put my name on the 1-2 NL Holdem List and after a few minutes I was seated at a table right next to this gentleman…
No, he’s not a blogger, but he’s from Brooklyn, NY and I LOVE those accents, so I made friends with him REAL QUICK!

I actually did pretty well playing Hold-Em Friday night, but I made the mistake of wanting to be social, so I moved over to the mixed games and that was my downfall. I have no business trying to play HORSE in a live game. Oh well. It was fun while my money lasted and then I came home.
No Waffles sightings Friday night since his plane was late like usual. You need to start coming on Thursday Waffles - or at least take off work on Friday like the rest of the bloggers.
