Forget all the balls about bankroll management and grinding out the micro SnG’s, that can wait until 2008, right now I just can’t turn down the opportunity to play in the Raise The River $4.40 180 man challenge! Basically, 11 other fish have sent $20 as an entry fee which is split 70/30 with the winner and runner-up then you get 10 games, which you have to play before January 12th, in order to finish as high as you can in each game, gaining more points for hitting the final table.
If I enter it’ll take the number on entrants to 12 which would mean a nice $154 for the winner and a not too shabby $66 for the runner-up. There have been some cracking results so far and the Saban family are right up there and are going to take some catching but if I run well in these games I know I can catch them. My downfall is that with my current bankroll and having to pay $20 entry fee I only have enough for 9 games unless I cash as I am $1.66 short of $44! LOL, skintaments! I won’t be using my usual account as there is no money on there but I will be under a different name that the RTR members will soon know I guess! With a bit of luck I’ll get started tonight and I can feel a win in my blood!
I reckon I need to average 5 points per game to take this baby down which will be very difficult as the scoring system is very biased toward deep finishes. 180th to 90th gains you one measly point, 89th to 45th gets you two points. 44th to 27th scores 3 points and 26th to 19th earns you 4 points. The next step is from 18th to 10th where you also would have cashed in the actual tournament and you gain 6 points here. 9th place scores 9 points with an additional point for each position you finish up to 17 points for taking the baby down. To average 5 points would be obscene but if I can hit a couple of final tables then I should be in with a shout. I’m pretty confident, as I always am about my game, but I need to devote my full attention to this challenge so will only be playing 1 table at a time and hopefully be able to get some insane reads on the other fish at my table and make some good moves to post on the RTR forums. I feel I’m on top of my game right now and if I can play without hitting any silly amount of booze I would back myself for the top two spots in this challenge.
In other news, I have tomorrow off work so I can actually go buy some Christmas shit. This month will be a nightmare money wise and I hate the fact I can’t spoil everyone but whatever, I can do that in February when my money should be sorted. I also made the sexytime with Mrs P 3 times last night after a back massage turned into a front massage which turned into a muff dive! I thought I was going to have heart attack at one point or my cock would fall off but I managed to survive all three bouts of rumpage! I’ve asked if she’s up for a repeat performance and it seems she is, wonder if my stomach muscles will stop aching enough for me to even attempt it! LMFAO! Pud The Stud or what?!
