Turbo STT Are Teh Ghey

I tip my hat to anyone who has or is grinding the $2.25 turbo SnG’s anywhere in the world. You honestly deserve a medal! To say they are a complete donkfest would be disrespectful to complete donkfests and fuck knows how or why some crazy bastard, according to Sharkscope, played nearly 5k of them last year, I’d have hung myself well before playing a 10th of that amount! I suppose it’s like most forms of poker where when you’re running well everything is fantastic and you can’t get enough but when variance isn’t on your side the game is a piece of shit and right now variance is fucking me in the arse, with no lube.
I played 30 of these twats since Saturday and I have never suffered beats like it in my entire poker life. I ended up 1/3/8/19 which resulted in a $13.50 loss despite hitting the cash 12 times from 30 games (40%ITM). I actually won my first game despite being down to 500 chips with 100/200 blinds but then went 6 straight games without a cash. Five straight cashes followed, four thirds and a second then my doomswitch was really turned on and I couldn’t win a fucking thing.
If I posted the hand histories you’d think I’d doctored them they are that bad! Out of the 29 games in which I didn’t come first I got my money in good in 24 of them yet still lost! I pushed 99 into KK, QQ into KK, TT in JJ I’ve had AK lose to K4 on an AK4 board, 999 lose to A6o to a runner runner straight, AQ lose to AQ when the board four flushed. it’s fucking unreal. If I have AK and someone calls with A3 you can guarantee they’ll hit their 3 outer. I know it’s variance and it evens out in the long run etc but it’s fucking frustrating to get your money in as a decent favourite and to be sucked out on each time. My Aces have a 63% win rate and my KK has 48% win rate, tiny sample size but still.
Only other poker action was a $3.30 90 man knockout SnG I played on Friday night where I came 12th with the top 9 paying. I didn’t even knock one single fish out! LOL! I didn’t play great and was short stacked for most of the match and ended up pushing K8o into 88 and managed to flop a king but the cunt hit the case 8 on the turn to bust me! I’ve obviously pissed off the Poker Gods (amen) somehow!
In other news Mrs P has the keys to her new house so it’s going to be a couple of weeks of decorating for me! The house is in pretty good shape but needs a good clean and some little bits touching up. I’m trying to take Thursday and Friday off this week to help prepare it for painting then I’m going to do a little bit each night until we move in. We’re aiming to move in on the 5th February as Pudding Dad has the day off work and has said he’ll help us move our gear around. Once we’re settled it’ll take a lot of pressure off me financially which means that there won’t be as many bankroll constraints and I can loosen up in which games I decide to play. I’m hoping to hit some MTT’s with $11 to $33 buy-ins and also try to satellite into or even buy in directly to one of the majors every 3 months. It’s a fresh start for everyone and everything involved and I’m looking forward to it immensely.
Finally, as of the 12th January I no longer have the bankruptcy hanging over me and I’m fully discharged and don’t have to inform any institution that I have been bankrupt. Obviously it stays on my record for another 4 years but it should also mean I can sort myself a decent bank account out or at least one that has a payment card facility rather than having to draw dosh out of the hole in the wall!
