The 2008 World Series is now up and running in Las Vegas. With one more month of satellites to the Main Event, PokerStars is actually giving its players even more incentive to play for a World Series seat.

PokerStars announced today that it will award double VIP Player Points for all of its World Series cash and Steps satellites. Starting Sunday, players will get twice the number of VPP credits normally awarded for the satellite tourney fees.

If that’s not reason enough to get into some satellites, PokerStars is hosting a 200-seat guaranteed mega World Series satellite on June 15. The $370 qualifier will pay out a minimum of 200 $12,500 World Series prize packages. Satellites to the event are running now.
